Mill Pond has gone Google!
What is Google Apps for Education?
Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is an integrated communication and collaboration solution, hosted by Google and managed by Westborough Public Schools. GAFE will provide the ability for Mill Pond students to communicate, store files, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real time from school or home, all within a secure "closed campus" online environment. Why Google Apps for Education? GAFE provides students with the opportunity to collaborate on documents, sheets, and presentations in real time from home or school. All changes are automatically saved and can be accessed anywhere as long as you have an internet connection! Projects can be edited on any devices, from a desktop to a laptop to an iPad. Plus the benefits of a "closed campus" means students can share and collaborate ONLY with other students and their teachers, adding an extra level of safety and security. |
Logging onto Google Apps:
Every student will receive a username following this formula - last name, first initial, year of graduation, added to @student.westboroughk12.org
For example, Fred Smith's email might be: [email protected]
Students are responsible for creating their own passwords, but the password should be recorded and saved in the agenda book, so check there if you're having trouble logging in!
